Jess and John
Jess and John
Jess and John are two of my best friends, If you look closely at the video you’ll see that I was the officiant at this wedding. Since I was a little tied up, Vic and Stephen did a fantastic job shooting this special wedding.
We headed up to Norway, Maine to the beautiful Granite Ridge Estate. Granite Ridge has one of the best mountain views I’ve ever seen, it’s truly breathtaking and a magic spot to get married. Stephen filmed the girls getting ready at Granite Ridge, while Vic was at John’s family lake house filming the guys getting ready. With the two locations about a half hour apart, having two shooters was almost a necessity on this one and really helped the flow of the day.
Jess and John met up for their first look on the dock of the lakehouse. It was a special moment and their reactions were captured perfectly. Afterwards, they took photos by the lake before heading back up to Granite Ridge, where we did the rest of the photos.
I was up next as the ceremony got underway. It was such a great experience officiating the wedding of two of my favorite people. I always love the personal feel of these types of weddings and being part of it was amazing.
The cocktail hour was in front of the barn with the stunning view from the mountain top. Their caterer, Fire + Co did an amazing job putting together the lobster rolls and chicken and waffle sliders, which were just a preview of all the feast that was to come.
We went into the barn for the reception. After the entrances and first dances we were entertained by some great speeches, one of them by my wife, the maid of honor. These all provided some great material for the highlight video.
Afterwards, we went outside to get some sunset shots. Stephen took up the drone and was able to capture the totality of the mountain top view with some amazing shots.
The rest of the night was full of dancing. The dance floor was packed all night and we had an absolute blast!
