Kayla and Patch's wedding was a rustic/city mashup that worked perfectly.

The day started with a drive down to Kayla's families house in Marshfield.  The house was set up perfectly for filming purposes with a large family room for Kayla to get ready in and exposed rafters from which she hung the dresses, providing a great backdrop.  Kayla and Patch wrote each other notes and gave each other gifts.  They wanted to read these out loud on camera which I love to have if the couple is willing to.  These are great words that provide an awesome backdrop for both the full and highlight video.  more

I shot up to Quincy to hang with Patch and the guys for a bit and then we were off to the first look.  We met at Gov Hutchins Field in Milton which was on a hill that overlooked the city, but provided a rustic/woodsy look that fit in perfectly with their wedding.  My drone partner, Evan from Drones.Up got some great arial shots of the first look, Kayla and Patch and the wedding party.  These shots really provide a wow factor in the final piece.

Next up we headed to Tia's for a beer.  This is where Kayla and Patch first met and was a cool moment.  I always love walking around the city with a couple and hearing all of the people cheering and congratulating them.  After what already felt like a full day of events, it was time for them to actually get married.

Inside the barrel room at the Boston Winery, Kayla and Patch exchanged vows in a quick ceremony.  The room was super unique and I've never been to or filmed a wedding like it!  Right when we were about to go outside for the guests to enjoy the Food Truck catered meal, the sky opened up and a tornado like storm of wind and rain hit.  It was short-lived however and left a beautiful sunset and rainbow in its trails.  We were able to take advantage with some amazing sunset shots before we headed back in.

Kayla and her mom did all of the decorating and they killed it.  From the string lights haning on the celing to the font of the table cards, there wasnt a detail that was missed.  Everything meshed together perfectly and it really provided a cozy, intimate atmospher for their family and friends to enjoy.

The night was capped off with some great toasts and an awesome band that rocked the winery and had the guests dancing all night.
