Ali is from Massachusetts and Pat is from New York, so Newport, RI was the perfect middle ground for their wedding.

Ali got ready at the beautiful Chart House Inn, an old inn not far from downtown.  The inn was great for getting ready shots, it had big windows and lots of character.  Ali and her bridesmaids were nice and relaxed and enjoying the morning when I arrived.  After Ali got her hair and makeup done she read the card Pat sent her on camera.  This is always a nice touch and worked great for both videos.

While I was filming the girls, Vic was with the guys.  He got some shots of them on the beach and some really fun shots of them playing pool and hanging out before the first look.

The way the day was laid out we were doing first look and pictures before the ceremony, so Evan came with the drone to the first look.  Having myself, Vic and Evan all capturing it from different vantage points really worked out well for this one.  It really built up the moment and cut together very nicely.

The day started off overcast, so the beach wasn't too crowded which gave us amazing access to an almost private First Beach.  We were able to get a ton of shots of Ali and Pat along with the wedding party, including some great drone action of the group and couple walking the beach.  One shot I liked in particular was of Ali and Pat looking out toward the water and the drone flying out and over the clear ocean.

Over at The Bohlin the ceremony was on a dock right in the harbor.  It was a pretty amazing place to film a ceremony.  Ali's brother in law conducted the ceremony and they each wrote their own vows which really personalized the ceremony and was great material for the videos.  Evan got a killer arial shot of the ceremony as it was beginning, giving enough distance so no one could hear the drones motor.

After cocktail hour there was an amazing sunset.  We took full advantage and got out there with 2 cameras to grab as many shots as Pat and Ali as we could in the short time we had the sun.  One side of the sky was bright orange while the other was purply-pink, both reflecting off the water for a really special moment to cap off a perfect day.
